We all can help play an important role in preventing infections in our healthcare environments as well as our own homes. Washing our hands frequently, covering our mouths when we cough and getting a flu vaccine are all things we can do to help protect ourselves and others around us.
Being a member of the APIC and a strong advocate for infection prevention, MediClean will definitely be helping raise awareness about infection prevention during the week of October 14th – 20th, 2012. Our clients have already taken a step in helping prevent infections by making sure they have a clean and safe environment.
We hope you will help implement an awareness program in your facility during this very important week. We all can do a little more in helping prevent infections so maybe provide an incentive for your staff to all get flu vaccines, or if you see lots of children in your facility, provide fun videos on hand hygiene and cool soap dispensers in the bathrooms. For more information please visit the International Infection Prevention Week web site for further details on how you can create a fun and exciting week for your staff and even your families at home.
